TOPPENISH-Heritage University has a new partnership with Seattle University School of Law to establish a hybrid hub.
This partnership will allow local students to complete law school without leaving the Yakima Valley, an area known as a legal desert because there are not enough lawyers to meet community demand. Students can use Heritage University’s resources such as the academic setting and library access, while getting their law degree from Seattle University School of Law.
“For us, it’s really creating a space where our students can have access to a degree program that we’re not able to offer here,” said Melissa Hill, the Provost at Heritage University.
Students can also participate in in-person networking events with Seattle U Law alumni, the local legal community, and other law students.
