Gwyneth Paltrow’s civil trial has been adapted for the stage ..”Gwyneth Goes Skiing”

biter loves a play so to hear news that Gwyneth Paltrow’s civil trial earlier this year will has been adapted for the stage was music to this theatre-goer’s ears.

You may remember the US trial which snatched headlines across the world, after the Hollywood actress was sued by a retired optometrist who alleged she recklessly crashed into him at a ski resort.

He lost. She was awarded $1 of damages.

Paltrow speaks with retired optometrist Terry Sanderson following the verdict

So, just when Obiter thought it was curtains for Paltrow’s trial, (Robert de Niro was occupying Obiter’s celebrity court brain space for a short time) The Pleasance & Awkward Productions has decreed it not so.

A 90-minute comedy Christmas show featuring original music, but not a musical it is important to note, that sells itself as ‘a story of love, betrayal, skiing, and (somehow) Christmas – where you are the jury!’

The past few months have given us plenty of court-based entertainment. A ‘Wagatha’ Christie documentary, a Paltrow play, Obiter only wonders what case will be next?

Gwyneth Goes Skiing runs from December 13 – 23 and tickets start at £15.
