Grande Communications Networks Appeals $47 Million Music Piracy Case

Texas-based internet service provider Grande Communications Networks LLC appealed a $46.7 million jury verdict finding that it contributed to the piracy of 1,400 songs.

Wednesday’s notice of appeal to the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit comes after the company filed for a renewed motion for judgment as a matter of law on Feb. 27 in the case brought by a group of record labels.
