Patrick Overy was Subject Librarian for Law and Business at the University of Exeter, and managed the European Documentation Centre at Exeter from 1991 to 2016. He has been involved in European information networks at national and international levels, especially through the now defunct European Information Association, which published European Information: A Guide to Official Sources in 2005. The 4th edition was published online at the end of 2010 and is available to download from ORE (Open Research Exeter).

Sibusiso Nhlabatsi holds a Diploma (Law) and an LLB degree from the University of Swaziland. He is currently doing an LLM in Human Rights Law (Course work) at the University of South Africa. Nhlabatsi is a human rights lawyer and practising as such in Swaziland. He serves on the Board of Trustee for Lawyers for Human Rights (Swaziland) and he is a founding director of the Institute for Democracy and Leadership (IDEAL).

Francisco A. Avalos joined the James E. Rogers College of Law in 1982 as the Foreign and International Law Librarian. His area of expertise is Latin American legal research with an emphasis on Mexico. He has written extensively and made many presentations in this area of the law. Mr. Avalos has served as Secretary-Treasurer and Chairperson of the Foreign, Comparative, and International Law SIS of the American Association of Law Libraries, and served on the Index to Foreign Legal Periodicals Advisory Committee. His current research interests include legal translation and the pre-Columbian legal systems of the Americas. The third edition of his the book the “Mexican Legal System” been released. He updated his article on the legal citation for the 20th edition of the Blue Book. He just completed his most recent monograph titled the “Legal History of Mexico: The Discovery to the Present (William Hien Publications). Mr. Avalos retired in 2009 and now dedicates himself to writing and doing consultant work.

Do Hyung Kim is a patent attorney at Core Wireless Licensing, Ltd. Mr. Kim earned his J.D. at the University of Houston Law Center and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to his matriculation at the University of Houston Law Center, Mr. Kim worked as a business intelligence consultant for PriceWaterhouseCoopers, LLP and IBM Corporation.

Mary Rumsey is the Reference & Instructional Services Librarian at Willamette University College of Law. She co-authored International and Foreign Legal Research: A Coursebook currently in its second edition.

Dante Figueroa is a Senior Legal Information Analyst at the Law Library of Congress and an Adjunct Professor at the Georgetown University Law Center. He is a member of the Chilean Bar, the New York Bar, and the Washington, D.C. Bar. He holds LLM degrees from the University of Chile and American University’s Washington College of Law. He has authored two books and several law review articles. His publications are available online. He is fluent in Spanish, English, and French, and is conversant in Italian.
Jonathan Arendt is a Senior Associate at Albagli Zaliasnik Law Firm where he works advising companies in corporate and regulatory matters. He holds a LL.M. degree in International Legal Studies from American University’s Washington College of Law. In Washington D.C., he interned at the Inter-American Development Bank, in the Office of the Case Officer of the Sanctions System, and also worked as Dean’s Fellow of Professor Claudio Grossman at American University’s Washington College of Law. He is licensed to practice law in Chile. He collaborated with Professor Dante Figueroa in the law review article titled “Constitutional Review in Chile Revisited. A Revolution in the Making,” published by the Duquesne Law Review (2013). Mr. Arendt is fluent in Spanish and English.

Buhle Angelo Dube is a human rights lawyer who has previously worked with human rights and other non-governmental organizations in Swaziland holding varied positions such as Project Officer/Researcher. He holds a B.A. (Law), LL.B from the University of Swaziland and is currently pursuing a LLM in Human Rights and Democratization in Africa with the Centre for Human Rights (University of Pretoria). He is also a member on the Board of Trustees of the Centre for Minority Rights and Development Zimbabwe and the Centre for Human Rights and Development, Swaziland.
Alfred Sgcibelo Magagula is a member of the Centre for Human Rights and Development. He holds a student B.A. (Law) and LL.B degrees obtained from the University of Swaziland. He is working for an NGO in the HIV/AIDS sector. He has done research work with various consultancy firms in Swaziland before, and is a part-time researcher with Panacea Consulting.

Juan Ignacio Troccoli is the Tax Partner of Fisher & Schickendantz, one of Uruguay’s leading law firms. Mariana Barua is a senior associate with Fisher & Schickendantz in Montevideo, Uruguay. She was appointed Assistant Professor for Civil Law in the University of the Republic of Uruguay in 2010 and in the Catholica University of Uruguay in 2012. She is a frequent author of article and has contributed to several books and journals. She studied at the University of Lima and earned her J.D. in 2004 (Magna Cum Laude). She studied part of her career at the University of Santiago de Compostela in Spain. She practiced law for five years in Lima, and afterwards moved to Montevideo to practice law. She received her LL.M. Degree from the University of California, Davis, in 2008 and is currently studying a Master in Civil Law (with emphasis in Contracts) at the Catholic University of Uruguay.
Juan Federico Fischer is the managing partner of Fisher & Schickendantz, one of Uruguay’s leading law firms. Both a lawyer and an M.B.A., he manages the firm’s foreign investment consulting unit, advising multinationals and individual investors in foreign direct investments in real estate developments, acquisition of local companies, agricultural enterprises and privatizations.
