Our client is a leading global provider of production, post production, and distribution services to an international base of content creators, network service providers, broadcasters, entertainment, software, and gaming customers. They are renowned for being one of the world’s largest film processor; the largest independent manufacturer and distributor of DVDs; and, a leading global supplier of set-top boxes and gateways.
They are now seeking a legal counsel to join its well established APAC team and be responsible for legal affair in India and South East Asia. To be considered, candidates must be admitted to practice law in India (or other common law jurisdiction) and have gained 6-8years’ post qualification experience at an international law firm or MNC as well as considerable knowledge and experience in handling company secretarial/ corporate/ commercial law matters in India and other South East Asian countries.
The successful candidate will ideally be able to offer IP or technology experience with good business acumen and self-initiative and be a good team player.
This stand-alone role will require the ability to work autonomously reporting into the General Counsel based in Hong Kong although also working closely with the local management/ business team. The position will be based in
Bangalore and involve a certain amount of travel.
