The Lawyer (UK) reported Friday that…
Indian law firm FoxMandal Little (FML), has hired a new head of copyright from specialist Indian IP firm Akash Chittranshi & Associates.
We learn that Rahul Beruar has joined the partnership, and will focus on copyright enforcement, trademarks prosecution, intellectual property rights-related litigation and contracts.
Beruar said in their press release : “Copyright enforcement is the need of the time, as India has to have a viable intellectual property rights regime to sustain its growth."
The report also reveals that in December 2007 he represented Harry Potter author JK Rowling on a copyright infringement action and that Beruar’s hire is the latest in a recruitment spree for FML which in the last year has seen it increase its head count by 63 lawyers.
