Sibylle Krieger, former partner at Baker McKenzie and Clayton Utz, has joined Law Squared’s advisory board.
“Sibylle brings an extensive amount of legal, business and board experience to the Law Squared advisory board. With experience in professional services, financial services, energy and resources and M&A, she understands both the traditional law firm model, and the opportunities which firms such as Law Squared present to the legal services market,” Law Squared founder and director Demetrio Zema said.
After serving as a law firm partner for more than two decades, Krieger went on to sit on the boards of several organisations, including Xenith IP Group Ltd, Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO), Mystate Ltd, Openpay Group Ltd, Ventia Services Group Ltd. She has served as non-executive director and as board chair.
Krieger praised Law Squared as “a leader in the NewLaw category both nationally and internationally.”
“The rapid growth of Law Squared since its inception, coupled with the business’ model, values and overall ethos, has been a motivating factor in me joining the advisory board to work closely with Demetrio and other members of the advisory board as the firm enters into its next phase of growth,” she said.
“In a post-COVID world, we are seeing more corporates (both listed and unlisted) start to diversify their external legal panels and consider alternative legal service providers and better utilising legal technology. Law Squared is playing a pivotal part in this change and I am looking forward to providing my insights and experience to the firm.”
