Duane Morris To Help With Building Solar Power Industry in Myanamar

Every now and then it is worth reporting a deal that a law firm is working on, this is one of those times.

Duane Morris LLP has been retained by TCP Asia Pacific Co., Ltd (TCP) to advise and assist TCP in its approximately $400 million worth of solar projects in Myanmar. TCP is planning to build and operate six solar power plants with a combined power generation output of 420 Megawatts around the country.

Duane Morris Hanoi office managing partner Oliver Massmann will head the engagement, which is not his first in the sector; he is also working on a project involving privately financed wind energy projects in Vietnam, and on a biomass power plant for a production company in Hanoi. The firm, through its joint venture, Duane Morris & Selvam LLP is one of the few U.S.-based firms with a Myanmar office.
