However, in early 2023, Dr. Dre purportedly began sending threatening text messages to Sophy, accusing him of unethical behavior during the mediation—a claim that Sophy categorically denies.
The lawsuit contends that these messages were part of a harassment campaign that included threats of violence, late-night communications, and derogatory remarks. It states: “This manifested in a nearly year-long sustained campaign of late-night texts, threats of intimidation and violence, and homophobic rhetoric.” One message allegedly warned, “You’re going to have to pay for that,” while another stated, “You’re a piece of sh*t.” A particularly alarming message cautioned: “Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about you.”
Dr. Sophy asserts that Young’s actions placed him in a perpetual state of fear, necessitating the implementation of severe security precautions, such as donning a bulletproof vest. Additionally, the lawsuit claims that individuals impersonating federal agents attempted to infiltrate his residence within a gated community.
