Nick Abrahams, technology and telecommunications partner at law firm Deacons told the ABC that companies might be asking for trouble if they do that. "We found only 14 per cent of Australian workers use social networking sites at the office, but 76 per cent of Australian workers say that it shouldn’t be blocked …if you’ve got thought workers, or a lot of knowledge workers then banning these sorts of applications can have issues."
