Candidate will be responsible for managing Library Services for Washington DC, Tyson’s and Bethesda offices.? Candidate must? has positive progressive approach to Library Science and demonstrate initiative.? Responsibilities include managing all aspects for library services for the region; including but not limited to research; business and reference services; training and instruction of efficient research techniques; compile and track legislative developments, initiate cataloging procedures; budget management and foster vendor relationships.?
Candidates must possess an MLS or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years law firm library experience. Supervisory experienced preferred.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Experience with Lexis Nexis, Westlaw, Thomson Research and other legal databases is required.
Candidate must have a Master’s degree in Library Science and a minimum of two years of library experience in a library or information center.
The ideal individual will have the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, work both independently and as part of a team, and the desire to develop skills and abilities as a patent librarian.
