David Cassidy’s estate is sued for $102,000 by law firm for five years of unpaid legal bills

For all you  70’s pop fans out there, you’ll be happy in the knowledge that one day there’ll be similar headlines about Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran, although the sums may be a touch larger.

  • Rodier & Rodier sued the actor for five years of various legal work in 2013, according to court documents obtained by the Blast
  • He was charged $134,221.50 but only paid $31,387.50 of it
  • And with Cassidy’s recent death on November 21, the firm substituted his estate as the defendant 
  • Before he died, the 67-year-old specified in legal documents that all of his remaining fortune should be left to his son Beau, leaving daughter, Katie, out 

 

David Cassidy’s former lawyers are suing his estate for a $102,000 bill that the firm has been trying to collect for years.

Rodier & Rodier sued the actor for five years of various legal work in 2013, according to court documents obtained by the Blast.

Cassidy died on November 21 from organ failure in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, prompting the law firm to switch over the defendant to his estate this week.

In total, The Partridge Family actor owed $134,221.50 and had paid $31,387.50. The new sum of $102,834 has yet to be paid.

When Cassidy filed for bankruptcy in 2015, he listed the law firm as a creditor during the case.
