“We can’t save the world by playing by the rules, because the rules have to be changed. Everything needs to change and it has to start today.” (Greta Thunberg 2018).
Despite multiple high-level agreements, pledges and promises, these words are still burningly relevant, four years later.
So, how do we repair our flawed systems? How do we safeguard against ecocide, repair relationships with nature, and incentivize sustainable economies? How do we put the frameworks in place that can accelerate positive change?
Join a panel of globally recognized youth climate organizers, voices from frontline nations and dynamic environmentalists to discuss how ecocide law can protect the planet and support so many other proposed solutions.
This movement is gaining rapid momentum around the world, from grassroots to the highest diplomatic levels, and young people are leading the way.
Together, we will change the rules.

Indigenous Artist, Manager of SevenGen and Spiritual Gangsta
Danii is an Indigenous artist from Kawacatoose First Nations on treaty 4 territory. The Manager of SevenGen, an Indigenous youth led organization empowering the next generation of energy and environmental leaders.
Eco-activist, student, poet and Stop Ecocide Ambassador
Léa is a passionate eco-activist, youth ambassador for Stop Ecocide Movement and member of Youth for Ecocide Law. She is currently studying Global Environment and Climate Change Law at the University of Edinburgh.
Colombian lawyer in advocacy, policy research and analysis of social and environmental issues.
Maria has worked as a consultant to the UN Climate Technology Centre and Network on gender and climate. Recently she joined Climate Champions as Resilience Fellow and is now coordinating the Stop Financing Factory Farming Campaign. She is also a Global Choices’ Arctic Angel.
Secretariat Adviser, Vanuatu Climate Action Network and Founder & Executive Director, Learn to Serve Vanuatu.
Willy is currently working with the Vanuatu government on policy-making and advisory to the Vanuatu Climate Climate Action on disaster risk reduction and climate change programs. He is also the Founder and Executive Director of Learn to Serve Vanuatu, a community-based organisation that are working on Ecosystem Restoration and Sustainable Land Management, Water, and Climate Justice project.
Sophia is an Iranian-American environmentalist studying climate science and public policy at Stanford University. She is the founder and executive director of Climate Cardinals, an international nonprofit with 8,000 volunteers in 40+ countries working to translate climate information into over 100 languages. She represents the U.S as the youngest member of the inaugural United Nations Youth Advisory Group on Climate Change.

Lily Cole is an actor, author and filmmaker. Her career as a model encouraged her to look at social and environmental issues in the fashion industry and seek solutions through an economic lens. Her book and accompanying podcast, “Who Cares Wins,” explore myriad environmental solutions from biotechnology and quantum computing to gender equality and indigenous wisdom. She is a patron of the Environmental Justice Foundation.
