KWM global chief puts focus on integration, not mergers
Three years after its first Sino-Australia merger and two years into the second merger with SJ Berwin in the UK, King & Wood Mallesons claims it is in no rush to make another deal, as the firm’s global managing partner Stuart Fuller reveals to The Lawyer his focus is on integration.
In addition to a 3 per cent increase in its global turnover in the 2014 calendar year, Fuller indicated a healthy hike in the amount of cross-selling activity between its four Swiss verein members – a 130 per cent rise to almost 800 matters.
But Fuller says he and his partners are always “awed” by how much more work needs to be done in order to “get the franchise to work” and reach full financial integration.
