We just received the following comment on our previous story about CCH China
?
Comment:
…CCH China recently advanced its market leadership with the launch of China GOLD, providing the largest available database of translated Chinese legislation, regulations and notices. CCH’s English language database is the most widely used and most respected among law firms and corporate counsel in China…
This does not sound like something practicesource.com wrote itself – sounds more like part of the press release. Further, there is no information to substantiate whether their ‘gold’ product has the largest database, nor whether the CCH database is more widely used.
Reporting of stories should be improved.

We’d just like to point out that we mentioned twice in the piece that we had received a press release and we even noted in italics where we quoted from the press release
.. with regard to the product investigation – we are sorry to say we don’t have a number of investigative journalists that we can pop on a plane to Beijing to find out the nitty gritty behind the claims .. we will be only too happy to find more details for this person placing the comment – once they press the button on our home page ?and donate some money for our flight ! ?Practice Source is a free service and we are limited by our tight budget
We may be wrong but this ?anonymous comment smacks of a moan by an employee of one of the other two major database providers who are also trying to do the same thing in China.. and we needn’t remind you that their press releases never go out without phrases like “world’s premier” ?”leading international” etc etc blah blah
