Clifford Chance Strengthens Shanghai Office

Partner Kathy Honeywood has relocated to the firm’s Shanghai team from London for a short-term secondment.

The press release goes on to say…..

Kathy is no stranger to our China operations and clients; she was seconded to Shanghai in 2006/2007, and since then has advised on the major China outbound deals of recent times, including Chinalco on both of its investments in Rio Tinto, and China Oilfield Services on the largest outbound acquisition by an A-share company.

A graduate of University College London, Kathy specialises in corporate finance, and domestic and cross-border M&A, and was admitted to the partnership in 1998.

Senior associate David Lam moves to our Shanghai office on 1 May for a year’s secondment. Experienced in acting for financial institutions, sponsors and borrowers in a wide range of financing transactions, David’s practice has focussed on transactions involving mainland China for a number of years. His move will add to the strength of our finance team in Shanghai.

A law graduate of the University of Hong Kong, David is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese and has worked at Clifford Chance since 2001, including two years in our Beijing office from 2003 to 2005.
