The former lawyer accused of killing Aliza Sherman, Gregory Moore, posted a $2 million bond Wednesday, according to court filings.

Moore walked free from the Cuyahoga County Jail around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, linking arms with a bail bondsman.

Moore’s attorney Jon Paul Rion said the full $2 million was paid with funds from a bail bondsman and community members “who believe in his innocence.”

The Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office declined to comment due to the ongoing status of the case.

Moore was in court on June 17 for a pre-trial hearing.

Moore, 51, has pleaded not guilty to the charges of aggravated murder, conspiracy, murder, and kidnapping.

Sherman was brutally stabbed when she went to Moore’s office on Erieview Plaza in downtown Cleveland for an appointment on March 24, 2013.
