A little off topic but here at HOB Mr Ferlinghetti’s bookshop is considered a place of pilgrimage on visits to San Francisco.
We also believe the store to be an important cultural institution that America cannot afford to lose and especially at this time considering the political times we live in.
So, on learning last week, that the bookstore may not survive without help from friends they started up a Go Fund Me which has already surpassed its target of $US300,000 .
That said further support is most likely needed, so if you feel like helping the store
