Circuit Librarian U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit – Denver

This position manages the circuit library program, serving the judges and staff of the United States Courts for the Tenth Circuit, including the court of appeals, district courts and bankruptcy courts. The library currently employs 15 staff members circuit-wide, and maintains staffed branch libraries in Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Utah, and Wyoming. The circuit librarian will be stationed at the headquarters library in Denver, Colorado.

$94,890 – $164,200 a year

Responsibilities of the circuit librarian include development and implementation of services that meet the needs of today’s researcher; managing staff in multiple locations; outreach, policy development and implementation; library automation; managing library resources, delivery of electronic tools and resources, and managing the budgeting/purchasing of library materials; acquisition of legal subscriptions and publications; overseeing the provision of legal research in all information formats; long-range strategic planning; and training library staff and users in all areas of legal research. Some travel will be required.
