The Knowledge Manager of the Year and KM Excellence awards are for an individual or initiative which has made a significant contribution to the discipline through their work and professionalism.
- Are you proud of the demonstrable impact your KM team have had for your business or customers?
- Do you have a community of practice or similar KM initiative that is making a difference?
- Have you developed a process or software that’s enabling knowledge to flow more easily?
- Have you raised the bar of KM practice for our discipline?
CILIP is building a home for Knowledge Management in the UK. Building on our first MCLIP Chartered Knowledge Managers and Fellows, the K&IM Awards will be expanded this year with the inauguration of two prestigious awards, the Knowledge Manager of the Year Award, and the KM Excellence Award.
These free to enter awards can be entered either by yourself, or you can nominate a stellar colleague, both UK & Internationally based. We’re looking for Knowledge Practitioners and initiatives which meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Profession Demonstratable contributions to the advancement of knowledge management.
- Leadership Showing leadership and vision as in the field of knowledge management and it’s embedment
- Innovation Employment of innovative & new ideas resulting in the advancement of the effectiveness of knowledge management
- Customer Service KM project / programme / service has a high degree of satisfaction among customers and other stakeholders.
- Championing Promotion of the field of knowledge management in the organization / agency served.
- Society Used their knowledge management skills for the benefit of “an equal, democratic and prosperous society”.
The forms are short, 1-2 pages, and the award ceremony is likely to be a hybrid physical/virtual event.
The winner will have the opportunity to present at a CILIP event (e.g. next years K&IM Awards), be profiled in CILIP’s Magazine, and use the title of “Knowledge Manager of the Year 2021” or “KM Excellence Award Winner 2021” as appropriate.
