French fashion house Christian Dior Couture SA brought a trademark infringement lawsuit against an upscale casual restaurant in Kansas for allegedly using the “Dior” name, according to a new federal filing.
The complaint, filed Monday in the US District Court for the District of Kansas, alleges that Dior Restaurant LLC traded off the goodwill of the Christian Dior luxury brand by advertising “Dior Bag Giveaways” for counterfeit bags.
Christian Dior, which is best known for its luxury clothing and handbag lines, also operates a restaurant in Miami called Dior Café, the complaint said. The company’s trademark registration for the “Dior” …
