For more than 30 years, Edelberg has represented clients in corporate, commercial and international law matters. His multifaceted practice enables him to serve the domestic and international needs of a wide range of clients, particularly those with interests in China.

Edelberg has counseled clients on business structuring and outsourcing transactions overseas with an emphasis in China, international trade and finance matters, U.S. export controls and acquisitions of overseas companies. Through his strong international business ties, Edelberg successfully secured a sister city relationship between Stamford and Jiangdu, China.

Edelberg also counsels both U.S. companies doing business overseas and foreign companies doing business in the United States in a wide range of matters. As a trusted advisor to corporations and businesses, he handles complex mergers and acquisitions for privately held companies and community banks. Edelberg?s extensive knowledge of angel financings, venture capital, private equity, strategic investments and private placements, and his prior experience as in-house corporate counsel, has made him a key player in the Stamford business community. He also represents clients in commercial real estate acquisitions, sales, leasing and financing.

Prior to joining the firm, Edelberg was of counsel and a founding member of Murtha Cullina LLP. He also headed the firm?s China practice.

Edelberg serves as co-editor of the China Law Reports and has written and lectured extensively on China and international legal and business topics. He is a member of the American Bar Association and serves as the association?s vice-chair of the China Committee of the International Law Section. He also serves as the International Law Liaison of the American and Connecticut Bar Associations. In addition, Edelberg serves as chairman of the International Trade Council of the Stamford Chamber of Commerce.

Edelberg earned his J.D., with honors, from University of Connecticut Law School in 1976 and his B.A. from Wesleyan University in 1972.
