Children’s ‘Story Rugs’ Maker Dismisses Copyright Suit Against Rival

An educational children’s rug maker agreed to dismiss without prejudice its copyright and trademark infringement claims against a rival, according to a stipulated notice of dismissal.

Gladwell Education LLC said in its complaint that it makes “Story Rugs” for children but that Mybecca infringed its copyright and trademark by “blatantly” copying Gladwell’s 36 works and removing copyright information. Gladwell filed a stipulation to dismiss the case in the US District Court for the Central District of California that counsel for Mybecca also signed on to Thursday.
