CCH Adds 200 Tax Jobs In Kennesaw Georgia

Usually the big publishers are taking jobs out of the US? so it’s good to see announced in the? Atlanta Business Chronicle CCH Small Firm Services (SFS) has announced it will consolidate its national operations ? adding 200 jobs in Kennesaw, Ga., in the next 18 months, giving it a total of 600 employees.

SFS is a division of Wolter Kluwer, a global financial and information services enterprise based in Amsterdam. The company will move employees from its offices in Fort Pierce, Fla., this spring and it will move workers from its offices in Caribou, Maine in spring 2012.

Cobb County Chairman Tim Lee made the official announcement at the monthly breakfast meeting of the chamber when he also gave his “State of the County” address.
Jeff Gramlich, president of SFS, briefed Cobb civic and business leaders at a special reception before the breakfast.

“CCH Small Firm Services is a valued new member of our community and I am thrilled at their continued business success,” Lee said. “Their planned expansion is welcomed news and is a great example of how low taxes, solid infrastructure and a great quality of life keep our county competitive when it comes to growing business.”
Last August, SFS opened its corporate headquarters in the Chastain Meadows office park ? consolidating more than 350 employees from Kennesaw and offices Rome, Ga. Currently, the company has a permanent workforce of 400 people in Kennesaw plus 200 temporary employees hired during tax season.

?By consolidating our workforce in Kennesaw, we can provide a world-class environment for our employees and operate as a more integrated organization to better serve our customers,? Gramlich said. ?Our employees have adapted well to the new location in Kennesaw. Many have moved to Kennesaw and surrounding areas, and those who are commuting are taking advantage of the incentives offered by the LocalZoom program to carpool.?

Kennesaw Mayor Mark Mathews said he is ?excited to have such a vibrant and growing corporate citizen like CCH Small Firm Services headquartered in Kennesaw.
Mathews added that ?seeing companies like continue to grow and expand in Kennesaw and Cobb County is very encouraging given this harsh economy. We welcome their continued growth in our community and are honored that they have chosen us as the location to grow their operations.?

SFS provides tax and accounting software, research and training to more than 45,000 small professional firms throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. The company also processes its customers? electronically filed tax returns. Last year the SFS Electronic Filing Center transmitted nearly 20 million federal and state tax returns to the Internal Revenue Service and state revenue agencies.
The company?s facility houses development, sales, training, customer support and internal operations staff and also includes a television studio equipped with high-definition equipment, shipping and fulfillment operations and employee food, recreation and fitness areas.
