Senior Knowledge Manager, law firm

Fabulous newly created role! Global law firm requires a Senior Knowledge Manager to join their global team to drive collaboration and knowledge sharing firmwide.  This role will be involved in strategic projects and deliver knowledge and learning solutions internally and externally.

Key responsibilities include:

• Facilitate collaboration amongst the firm’s PSL community and work with Learning & Development on their internal technical training programme
• Overall coordination of new knowledge management technologies, innovations and opportunities
• Manage improvements and issues with the current knowledge systems
• Act as coordinating editor of firm wide publications and work with partners, BD, Design and PSLs to improve and enhance the impact of these publications
• Contribute to projects concerning knowledge sharing and process improvement
• Contribute to the development of the knowledge strategy; a knowledge sharing culture and raising the profile of K&L
• Support the provision of value added knowledge services to key clients – via training, knowledge portals etc

To be considered for this role you will need to have the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience gained in knowledge management in a legal or professional services context
• Commitment to or experience of knowledge sharing systems and processes
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrable ability to work collaboratively with different areas and teams around the firm
• Strong influencing skills
• Ability to work under own initiative and autonomously
• An understanding of technologies relevant to knowledge sharing and collaboration is desirable
• Experience in managing multiple projects is desirable
• Experience in managing or involvement in IT projects is desirable
• A law degree desirable but not essential
