Hong Kong (HKSAR) – Offshore law firm Carey Olsen announced today (November 8) that it has opened an international office in Hong Kong, tapping into the city’s status as Asia’s legal services capital to extend its reach in this part of the world.
The Hong Kong office will advise clients on the full spectrum of contentious, semi-contentious and offshore advisory work. This will include domestic and international restructuring and insolvency, corporate and commercial disputes, banking and financial services litigation, trusts litigation as well as fraud, asset tracing and regulatory disputes. Hong Kong managing partner of Carey Olsen, Mr Michael Makridakis, said that Hong Kong as a thriving business city that offers a solid ground for the group to extend its footprint in Asia.
Mr Makridakis said, “The growth in demand for offshore legal services in Asia has created a parallel demand for offshore litigation services, and we have an increasing number of clients requiring advice in relation to disputes and insolvency matters in the region.”
