Musings on the Utterly Obvious

Knowledge Management is not rocket science.? In fact, it?s the simplest thing in the world.? It?s about doing everything as effectively and efficiently as you possibly can.? This means that you eliminate waste, duplication, do things quickly, do them better, learn from past mistakes and are less likely to stuff up. ?To do things more efficiently, you need to be willing to do them faster than you did them before. Most law firms make their money by charging for their time.? The more inefficient they are, the more money the partners make.? Pretty much every KM initiative is designed to make a process more efficient, that is, to take less time.? While partners are financially rewarded for taking longer, those kind of KM projects will never be fully and successfully implemented in law firms.
