As we celebrate the one-year anniversary of its publication, CanLII is proud to announce that the Canadian Open Access Legal Citation (COAL) Guide was awarded the 2025 Hugh Lawford Award for Excellence in Legal Publishing at this year’s Canadian Association of Law Libraries/L’Association canadienne des bibliothèques de droit conference in Calgary! It joins the Manual to BC Civil Litigation as the second CanLII publication to win both this award and a Clawbie for Best Legal eBook. Congratulations to the COAL-RJAL Editorial Group!
