We are delighted to announce the following additions to our team in Phnom Penh and to welcome back Porchhay and Sereyrath after receiving their Master of Law degrees in Australia and the United States of America.

Porchhay Phoung

Legal Adviser

Head of Real Estate  & Construction Practice Group

Porchhay has more than ten years experience of advising in relation to real estate and construction. He has advised global real estate developers, construction companies and foreign investors on their investments and projects in Cambodia. His areas of practice are real estate acquisition, lease, concession, hypothec registration, due diligence, construction contracts, and other related commercial transactions. He obtained a Master of Commercial Laws from University of Melbourne in 2015. Porchhay speaks English and Khmer.

Sereyrath Kiri

Associate

Prior to joining the firm, Sereyrath was associated with several legal research organizations – the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia, Royal University of Law and Economics, and was part of Cambodia’s first team to join Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria. He has also worked in Asian Counseling and Referral Service as a citizenship and immigration case manager and has been appointed as a notary public in Washington State, USA. His practice areas include corporate and commercial, real estate and construction, alternative dispute resolution, due diligence, and immigration. He earned a master degree in Asian Law, Global Business, and Sustainable International Development from University of Washington in 2012. He speaks Khmer, English, Mandarin, and basic Thai.

Svetlena D. TE

Associate

Prior to joining the firm, Lena advised clients on corporate and commercial matters and assisted at Cambodia National Authority for Land Dispute Resolution.  She is experienced across multiple practice areas including arbitration, dispute resolution and anti-corruption compliance.  Lena earned a Master degree (LLM) in Sustainable International Development from University of Washington School of Law in Seattle, Washington, USA and Bachelor of Economics, Royal University of Law and Economics (RULE). She speaks English and Khmer.

Yonsothya Nong

Paralegal

Sothya is a member of Corporate & Commercial Practice Group. She assists with a broad array of legal matters and provides translations of legal documents. Sothya obtained dual bachelor degrees from Royal University of Law and Economics ( RULE) and the Institute of  Foreign Languages (IFL), majoring in law and professional communication. She speaks English and Khmer.
