Call For Papers: 2011 Australian Law Librarians’ Conference

The organising committee for the 2011 Australian Law Librarians’ Conference has announced their Call for Papers for the 2011 conference to be held in Canberra



Here’s what they say

Submissions are welcome from all members of the law library community. The title of the symposium is “ACTioning the Law”. Themes developed so far include areas of Commonwealth or Australian Capital Territory law and legal research (including production and access to Commonwealth Government information), although papers on more general topics may be considered. Please submit an abstract of your proposed=? paper by 1 February 2011, along with a brief speaker biography.

Format guidelines
*?? Author/s name, organisation, position and full contact details are required with presenting author/s underlined.
*?? Abstract of around 250 words.
*?? Biography of around 50 words.
*?? Title/abstract of proposed presentation should clearly indicate the content/topic.
*?? Duration of papers should be 25 minutes (allowing 5 minutes for questions).
*?? Please advise if proposed papers have been published, accepted for publication or presented elsewhere prior to this conference.
*?? Acceptance or otherwise will be at the discretion of the Organising Committee.

Speaker benefits
*?? Presenters will receive one free day registration on the day their paper =
is presented (for one presenter per paper). Registration includes conferenc=
e attendance, lunch, morning and afternoon teas and entrance to the trade e=
xhibition. =

*?? Selected papers will be published in the Australian Law Librarian. Authors must grant copyright permission to the Australian Law Librarians’ Associa= tion Inc. for versions of the paper published by ALLA.? ALLA may consider publishing papers in various ways (eg in its Journal, or on its website (as =
podcasts etc).
