Bloomberg: Apple Denied Rehearing in Live Music Trademark ‘Tacking’ Appeal

Apple Inc. took another loss in its bid to expand its Apple Music trademark to concerts and other live events.

The US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on Thursday batted down Apple’s petition for panel and full court rehearing of a panel’s ruling that the technology giant can’t reach back through history and apply the Beatles’ Apple Corps mark—which Apple now owns—to protect a broad category of live events and recordings.
