BLAKE DAWSON WINS AUSTRALIAN LAW FIRM OF THE YEAR AT IFLR ASIAN AWARDS

Blake Dawson has been honoured at the prestigious International Financial Law Review (IFLR) Asian Awards in Hong Kong, winning Australian Law Firm of the Year 2009.

The award was judged primarily on the work undertaken for clients in the region and comes after the firm advised on some of the most significant and high profile cross-border deals in Asia including the $US14 billion PNG LNG project, Kirin’s acquisition of outstanding shares in Lion Nathan and China Minmetal Corporation’s acquisition of OZ Mineral assets.

The international accolade follows Blake Dawson’s decision to open offices in Singapore and Japan and comes after the firm was named “Australian Law Firm of the Year 2009” by ACQ Finance Magazine last year.

Blake Dawson Managing Partner John Carrington said of the award: “This is an outstanding achievement and is superb recognition of the quality of our expertise and calibre of our people, both in Australia and in our offices in Asia.”
