Australian law firm? Blake Dawson with international offices throughout Asia are seeking a Chinese Legal Consultant for the Shanghai office.

Job Description:

Developing and managing relationships with clients including taking instructions and attending client development functions
Working with other lawyers and support staff
Researching and providing legal advice (note any advice will be internal as the firm cannot provide PRC legal advice and this is provided in conjunction with PRC Law Firms) in all areas of law related to PRC and offshore operations (including but not limited to employment, entity establishment, commercial contracting and intellectual property). Experience and expertise in mining and resources an advantage.
Negotiating and drafting of transactional documents
Liaising with and instructing external counsel and agents including preparing briefs
Information and document management
Keeping accurate and regular timesheets
Regularly attending and participating in training sessions including both internal and external sessions
Keeping up to date with and using Blake Dawson precedent and style documentation
Job Requirement:

Law Degree from reputable law school
PRC bar qualification
Excellent drafting and oral communication skills in both English and Chinese
Three to five years foreign clients experience with training at top international law firms
Superior client relationship management skills
High-level of learning, ability to be flexible and positive attitude
Working Base: Full-time.? Five (5) days a week, Mon-Fri

Salary: Dependant on relevant work experience
