Biggest Losers of AI Boom Are Knowledge Workers, McKinsey Says

It has to be said McKinsey love making these reports and then sending their people into the companies they’ve pitched the report to and saying that they are the best people to do the culling.

I would argue the exact opposite.

In law we already know that Chat GPT can outright lie

I’d argue that AI is exactly the reason we should be increasing human KM headcount in order to keep a very close eye on the veracity of information being fed up the chain by AI

But as we know the opposite will happen.

Bean counters and managemnet will see it as a great way to save money, disasters  will ensue and instead it is the fault of those remaining to manage an ever growing amount of unreliable information

Meanwhile McKinseys rakes in the cash..

Here’s what McKinseys say

  • Could add the equivalent of $2.6 to $4.4 trillion annually
  • May add 0.6% in annual labor productivity growth for 20 years

The worldwide boom in generative artificial intelligence will usher in an age of accelerated productivity and greater prosperity for some — and profound disruption for others, primarily knowledge workers, according to a new report by consultants McKinsey & Co.

Whole swaths of business activity, from sales and marketing to customer operations, are set to become more embedded in software — with potential economic benefits of as much as $4.4 trillion, about 4.4% of the world economy’s output — according to the study by McKinsey’s research arm.
