Not my words – but – the words of one of the members of the BIALL Duplicates Exchange Scheme.
For those who are not familiar with how the Scheme works – it is a means by which participating libraries can share resources which help both large and small firms, academic and government libraries. Lists of surplus stock are circulated three times a year (February, June and October). Materials are offered on a first come, first served basis and there is an embargo on contacting offering libraries until 10am on Exchange Day.
It is not too late to join for the 2018 – 2019 membership year. The subscription charges are: BIALL members £39.60 (£33.00 + £6.60 VAT) and non-members £61.20 (£51.00 + £10.20 VAT).
