The BIALL Legal Journals Award 2017 has been awarded to Family Law, pictured above.
Jonathan Cailes and Samantha Bangham received the award from the BIALL President, Sandra Smythe’ at the BIALL Annual Dinner which took place at the Principal Hotel, Manchester, on the 9th June 2017.
Authoritative and therefore invaluable to practitioners, the journal was commended by the judging panel for its currency, indexing, and clear and concise layout.
· The BIALL Supplier of the Year Award 2017 has been awarded to CRO Info.
CRO Info received the award from the BIALL President, Sandra Smythe at the BIALL Annual Dinner which took place at the Principal Hotel, Manchester, on the 9th June 2017.
Customers of the award winner describe them as extremely professional, knowledgeable and customer-focussed. They are considered very responsive to customer feedback and suggestions, which is especially positive for a relatively new service, and they are also described as extremely pleasant to deal with.
· The BIALL Life Membership Award 2017 has been awarded to David Wills.
David received the award from the BIALL President, Sandra Smythe at the BIALL Annual Dinner which took place at the Principal Hotel, Manchester, on the 9th June 2017.
In addition, to fulfilling a number of the most time demanding roles in BIALL, David shows great enthusiasm for our profession and is a great advocate for law librarianship but never loses his sense of humour. He is a well-liked member of our community who offers encouragement and support for members to become involved with BIALL activities..
· The BIALL Wildy Law Librarian of the Year Award 2017 has been awarded to Margaret Clay.
Margaret received the award from the BIALL President, Sandra Smythe at the BIALL Annual Dinner which took place at the Principal Hotel, Manchester, on the 9th June 2017.
The awarding committee believe that Margaret has made a significant contribution to the legal information profession and that after 26 years of dedicated commitment at Inner Temple Library and to BIALL that she is fully deserving of the Wildy BIALL Law Librarian of the Year Award 2017.
