BIALL Ask You To Complete Their Salary and Benefits Survey

Have you ever wondered if you’re being paid the market rate for the job you do?  Are you getting the same benefits as other people doing the same job as you?  Do you need some hard facts to back up a salary review?  If the answer to any of these questions is ‘Yes’, then please read on!

The annual BIALL Salary and Benefits Survey (note new title!) collects a wide range of data such as salary, flexible working arrangements, benefits, full/part time status, level of responsibility and staff numbers. The purpose of this survey is to provide legal information and legal knowledge staff in the UK and Ireland with a benchmark document which can be utilised in salary negotiations.  As such it becomes much more effective the more data that is collected, so we need as many people as possible to complete the survey.

The resulting report can be used to give an idea of potential salaries within specific sectors and geographic regions, and can also assist in identifying factors that can appear to be related to better salaries and benefits.  The underlying data tables are designed to support your case for a salary/compensation review.

Filling in the survey takes only a few minutes, and it may be completed by members and non-members of BIALL working in the legal information or legal knowledge profession.

Please be assured that the survey is anonymous; responses cannot be linked to individuals, and we will only report on specific subgroupings where 5 or more responses are received.

Access the survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BIALL_Salary_Bens_2024

The report and data tables are provided as a BIALL member benefit and will be available later in the summer via the BIALL website.

If you have any feedback on the survey, please do get in touch.
