On Thursday, 21 November 2024, the Department of Law, American International University- Bangladesh (AIUB) organized a Workshop on Legal Research Methodology. The speaker of the workshop was Dr. Mohammad Ershadul Karim.
Md. Ershadul Karim, LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M. (University of Dhaka, Bangladesh), PhD in Nanotechnology Law and Policy (University of Malaya, Malaysia), is a faculty member of the Faculty of Law of University of Malaya as Senior Lecturer. Dr. Karim served as Senior Research Officer at the Technical Support Secretariat of the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Trafficking in Women and Children for three years. He has immense experience in teaching research methodology in the University of Malaya.
The workshop aimed to inform students about ins and outs of legal research, offered guidance on the skills and techniques that would make students competent to do legal research, and provided insights into the challenges and rewards of legal research from different perspectives. At the same time, there was a Question & Answer Session with the resource person which helped the students to know about their curiosity from different legal perspectives.
