According to Ziauddin, 32 lawyers in Chattogram have died of COVID-19 since the emergence of the virus last year.
Another senior lawyer has died of coronavirus in Chittagong.
The deceased was Mahfuz ul Alam, 60.
He breathed his last at Chittagong General Hospital on Saturday morning.
AHM Ziauddin, general secretary of the Chittagong District Bar Association said that Mahfuz tested positive three weeks ago and had been taking treatment at the hospital for the last 15 days.
As his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to ICU 2-3 days ago.
