Australia: Research Librarian Allens Melbourne VIC

An opportunity exists for an experienced and qualified librarian to join our Library team in Melbourne on a 12-month contract basis.

Your day

As a member of a high-performing and client-focused national team, the Research Librarian’s main focus is to deliver a high quality legal and business research service and to participate in current awareness activities ensuring the lawyers are kept up to date on all legal and business developments relevant to the practice groups and their clients.

In this role there are local duties including managing the collection, delivering training to lawyers and promoting the Library, and the value it can bring, throughout the firm. There will be opportunity to be involved in a broad range of projects that support the key objectives of our Library team.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Management and previous experience in a research role in a law library or professional services environment are essential.

Work pattern

The role is being offered on a full-time, 12-month contract, basis.

We support a hybrid working model where working from home part of the week is the norm.
