- ASIC is seeking Research Librarian on a flexible, part-time basis (22.5 hrs. per week) to join their Corporate Services team
- Salary between $84,717 – $94,955 depending on experience (plus 15.4% superannuation)
- Temporary, 12 month position based in Sydney

The team
The work of the Information Resource Centre (IRC) provides services that contribute to the gathering, management and storage of information and records at ASIC. The IRC consists of Library & Research Services, Intelligence Support and Information & Records Management. Intelligence Support provides operational support for enforcement investigations and regulatory activities through the gathering of intelligence information using authorised searches on data systems managed by external agencies.
The role
- Perform high-level legal and financial research using a variety of electronic and specialised print resources
- Plan and present training programmes in efficient research methods for new starters at ASIC and specialised training programmes for ASIC teams in all locations
- Develop and deliver current awareness and other customised information services
- Adhere to established service level agreements to ensure timely delivery of information products
- Liaise with ASIC business units establishing good working relationships and developing a clear understanding of their information requirements
- Work with Library & Research team members to ensure efficient delivery of core services
About you
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Library or Information Management from a recognised educational/ accredited institution is essential
- Experience in providing library and research services preferably in a legal/ business environment
- Experience using a variety of software applications simultaneously including Library Systems, Research databases, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), information/records management systems and databases to process, store, retrieve and report information
- Experience in developing and presenting training programmes in efficient research methods
- Stakeholder management experience including building, maintaining and utilising networks and relationships
- Experience in implementing and managing change and process improvements
