Atlanta: John Marshall Law School relocating to downtown commercial district

After selling its Midtown building, John Marshall Law School is relocating downtown to Peachtree Center.

Its new offices on the 18th, 19th and 20th floors of Marquis One will overlook downtown landmarks including the blue-UFO shaped shaped Polaris restaurant atop the Hyatt Regency.

John Marshall Law School will lease 46,859 square feet and plans to occupy the space in August. Dean and CEO Jace C. Gatewood said the school has seen “tremendous growth in structure and strength,” even during the global pandemic and social unrest.

This is one of multiple deals for Peachtree Center landlord Banyan Street Capital. It’s completed 12 leases since September for a total of almost 51,000 square feet.

Colliers International’s Deming Fish, Heather Lamb and Jessica Doyle represented Banyan Street in lease negotiations. Tim Holdroyd and Nik Hatzis of City Realty Advisors represented John Marshall Law School.

Last year, Atlanta Business Chronicle reported John Marshall Law School will need to relocate its campus from Midtown. The move was necessary once SCAD paid $13.9 million for a Midtown tower owned by John Marshall Law School.
