Ashurst has confirmed it will expand its global business service and alternative legal services offering by unveiling a new global delivery centre (GDC) in Brisbane. Reports Lawyers Weekly
The new centre will also see an expansion of Ashurst Advance, with the firm adding an Australia-based legal analyst group to the team in order to “deliver legal sourcing solutions on document intensive projects or for work of a more recurring nature”, a statement from Ashurst said.
The Aussie legal analysts will work as an integrated part of a global legal analyst team, it added, providing extended support to clients and practice groups across Ashurst’s international offices.
Ashurst managing partner Paul Jenkins, said the new GDC in Brisbane aims to build on the success and growth of the firm’s Glasgow office, and will enable staff to deliver global business services from two time zones, ensuring the firm’s business services delivery model is “globally integrated and consistent”.
“The addition of a GDC in Brisbane to our successful and highly flexible delivery model provided by the teams in Glasgow will allow the firm to grow the scale and scope of the support it provides to all offices in response to the commercial needs of clients,” Mr Jenkins said.
“This move demonstrates our commitment to innovation and to driving transformation across our business.”
