Article: The Texas Lawyer Looks To Perth (Aus) To Guess What Law Firm Re-Opening Might Be Like writes…To See How Reopening a Law Firm in Dallas Might Look, Check Out Perth, Australia.

Perth, Australia has experienced a fraction of the COVID-19 cases that have hit Dallas County.

The Perth, Australia, office of global law firm HFW resumed normal operations a week ago, but “normal” looks a bit different now.

Perth is the capital of Western Australia, which has reported nine COVID-19 deaths from 553 reported cases among a population of about 2.8 million. By comparison, Dallas County, with a population of about 2.6 million, has suffered 203 deaths from 8,273 reported cases.

Despite the relatively low number of virus cases, lawyers are still not coming into HFW’s Perth office every day—a change Matthew Blycha, who is in charge of it, expects will be permanent as lawyers shift the way they carry out their work.

When the West Australian government announced it was lifting restrictions on work, Blycha sent an email to staff telling them they could choose to adjust their working hours.
