Overtime Work Limits

The Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training has issued a Notification No. 030/15 on 27 February 2015 to reinforce the maximum amount of time permitted for overtime work. The duration for overtime cannot be longer than 2 hours per day, and the total daily work hours (including overtime) cannot be longer than 10 hours. Overtime work must be authorized in advance by the Ministry in charge of Labor and must be exceptional and voluntary. No extra overtime is permitted, although workers volunteer to work. The Notification notes that the Ministry will take strict actions according to the Labor Law and other applicable regulations in case of violation.
