Chicago must face claims it failed to accommodate the medical needs of a police officer with lung disease who contracted Covid-19 and died in the first few weeks of the pandemic, a federal judge ruled Monday.
Marco DiFranco’s estate asserted plausible failure-to-accommodate claims under the Americans with Disabilities Act and state law, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois said.
