Additional local ANZ legal counsel is now required to support our business in achieving their substantial targets over coming years across both ANZ business and joint entities. In addition to managing and mitigating legal risks our Legal team provide innovative, commercial and strategically-oriented solutions to support our growth initiatives.
This role is charged with providing strategic legal advice and governance to the NEA businesses and entities. In addition to proactively managing legal risk, a large focus of this role will be on the development of new products and initiatives as our business continues to grow across the region.
You will partner with senior leaders across all product lines and North East Asian geographies to ensure the provision of a timely, commercially focused and cost effective legal service through the utilization of in-house expertise and the management of external legal vendors. Additionally you will support Risk and Compliance Stakeholders in the provision of a consistent and effective risk management solution.
Skills
The strong external relationships and knowledge you possess within legal and financial markets will ensure the business is kept apprised of legal developments impacting them and that it pursues the most effective solutions for legal issues. You will posses:
• No less than 10 years post admissions legal experience
• Strong experience within banking, finance, corporate and commercial law
• Legal or commercial experience within structured products and/or Debt Capital Markets
• Knowledge and experience of working with the laws of the PRC and Hong Kong
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (mandatory) and Mandarin (preferential)
