And yesterday the Lawyer (UK) announced their annual awards ( We’ll highlight these in another story) and it seems that Norton Rose are flavour of the week winning a lion’s share of gongs as well as buying into the Australian legal market..
Here’s the Lawyer’s editorial…
There may have been 26 prizes, but ultimately it was Norton Rose’s night.
The firm that started yesterday by announcing its tie-up with Australian heavyweight Deacons ended it by winning Law Firm of the Year at last night’s The Lawyer awards.
The timing of the deal down under was just a happy coincidence. Norton Rose was awarded the top prize for its outstanding year.
The firm’s chairman Stephen Parish collected the gong from host Michael McIntyre, who took a break from quizzing Paul Maher on why he was late and whether he was in fact really a lawyer (truly, you had to be there).
But of course, there was more to the night than Norton Rose’s undeniably deserved success.
The full list of winners and runners up in every category is on our website (see story).
And, once more, the entire team at The Lawyer would like to say
congratulations to all the winners – and thanks to the vast number of lawyers there last night who made it such a memorable evening.
You rocked.
