An international law firm requires a Research and Knowledge Analyst to support the delivery of legal and business research and knowledge management firm wide.

This role can be based in either Leeds or Manchester and is  available for 9 – 12 months and for 21 hours per week.

Key responsibilities include:

·         Developing and maintaining an understanding of the firm’s divisions / practice areas and market sectors in terms of their likely research needs and as sources of internal know-how

·         Providing in-depth reactive and proactive research and analysis

·         Applying knowledge of the firm’s business to highlight potential market opportunities

·         Producing tailored current awareness to the firm and its clients using appropriate sources and technology

·         Managing information resources and knowledge in support of divisional / practice area teams

·         Providing training and advice regarding research skills to new joiners and Trainee Solicitors

·         Building effective relationships at all levels across the firm

 

To be considered for this role you will need the following skills and experience:

·         Good current knowledge of online information databases

·         Strong communication and influencing skills

·         Proven research and analysis experience

·         Excellent academic achievement

·         Commercially minded with strong customer service skills

·         Confidence to delegate and negotiate work deadlines

·         Able to work on own initiative to tight deadlines and co-ordinate competing activities whilst maintaining a calm and professional manner

·         IT literate with a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook; experience of knowledge management tools such as SharePoint or HighQ preferred
