China: Latest information on crackdown against lawyers and activists

More than 100 Chinese human rights lawyers and activists have been targeted by police in a nationwide crackdown which began on Thursday 9 July. At least 25 are feared still detained by police.

Total number of lawyers and activists targeted: 148

Total number of lawyers and activists still missing or in police custody: 25

Last update: 4.30pm [Beijing time] Tuesday 14 July.
